We had a wonderful time during the Christmas celebrations in Maple Class.
Maple Class wrote words they believed linked to the meaning of water, we we then used water to wash away words that we didn't think were important.
Maple Class used a variety of materials to explore building their own Ancient Egyptian pyramid.
Maple Class researched their own designs and created excellent shadow puppets, so they could learn about light, dark and shadows.
Maple Class embraces the spirit of Children in Need.
Maple had a thrilling experience when they had a visit from Phileas Fogg!
We started the day being Howard Carters, Lady Evelyns and the Boys involved with the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s Tomb. We experienced the pressure to find the tomb, how the tomb was found and what it must have felt like seeing the hoard for the first time.
We looked at what the Egyptian’s wore, how they lived and how they died. We all took part in embalming, tomb dressing, wailing, and a ceremony to lay the person to rest.
We really enjoyed the workshop and learnt so much about the Ancient Egyptians.
Maple Class were wonderful during Sports Day 2023
The Year 2's and 3's had a great time getting to know each other and playing fun games.
After learning about why cities are built near rivers, we researched, designed and made skyscrapers out of paper.
We had a fantastic day at Mablethorpe. We took our buckets and spades and made sandcastles, played football, had a paddle in the sea and ate an ice cream.
We have been learning about the upper, middle and lower course of a river. We then made their features out of lego which include waterfalls, meanders and oxbow lakes.
